United's formalisation of its A350-900 XWB acquisition makes this U.S.-based global carrier the 33rd customer for Airbus' newest jetliner. Deliveries of the aircraft will begin in 2016 and run through 2019, marking a new chapter in the strong relationship between United and Airbus that has spanned two decades.
